Lavender heart's
I worked so hard on wednesday! Only pausing to watch Sex and the city, I love that show <3
I had a day off work and decided to put it to good use, I made more lavender hearts, sorted out my Business Plan, and organised my work room, which is a HUGE task itself.
I am pleased as I finally feel like all the loose ends are being tied together, I had really good feedback from my business and textile tutours which has motivated me to do even better!!

This made me laugh :)
"Did you know that dolphins are just gay sharks?"
I didn't watch Glee from the beginning but recently I'm really getting into it,
its refreshing to have a new show that is so origional.
It seems like every teen drama/comedy since Dawsons Creek has at copied from it. Sometimes entire storylines, scenes and practically episodes. This included the O.C, One Tree Hill and such like. And to be honest I don't think any of them did it as well as Dawson's did.
I still enjoyed watching them, especially season 1 of the O.C, and seasons 1,2 and 3 of One tree hill but they all seem to trail off, become dull and lose my interest I'm hoping Glee will continue to have something new to offer :)

All the secrets...
Since the age of 5 I kept a diary, although it was mainly endless notebooks, jacquline wilson diarys, or books with pretty covers that I only ever wrote in every now and again.
That is until I was about 13. At 13 I started my first proper diary. I had a few that I filled, but when I got to 16 or 17 and started going out more I stopped writing as much. The main reason for my writing was to let go, to say things that couldn't be said, and to hold on to all the good memories. It was also incredibly theraputic.
I seem to have an endless desire to record things, I keep sketchbooks, notebooks, photo albums, cookbooks, write poems, songs, stories, and this blog has become my latest thing. I have always enjoyed writing, and these days I actually have nice things to write about that I will enjoy reading in years to come. It's amazing to read things I wrote when I was 6 or 7 years old, and often really really amusing.
So as of today I am starting yet another journal <3

Brambly Hedge
Recently I came across some books from my childhood, they were selling for £1.49 in my local Oxfam bookshop, I got all four that were on sale. They were all from the Brambly Hedge series, I must have been read these book a hundred times over, they were my absoloute favourites and the illustrations are just gorgeous.
At work the following day I decided to order myself every book I could find from the series, only to find they are all out of print!! I was really disapointed, but so so glad I managed to find these few. My mum still has the collection of stories she used to read to us, but would never dream of giving them away, even to me. This is something I must have inherited, not only do I find the stories wonderful but each book has incredible sentimental value.
"The mice of Brambly Hedge live on the other side of the stream across the field. If you look very hard amongst the tangled roots and steams, you may see a wisp of smoke from a small chimney, or through an open door, a steep flight of stairs deep within the trunk of a tree.
The mice keep themselves very busy. Whether it's spring, summer, autumn, or winter, there is always something to prepare for and, of course, the mice never miss an oppertunity for a celebration."
Above is a picture of a cheeky little mouse named Wilfred, he was always my favourite character. He got up to many adventures and was featured in most of the stories.
I spent hours of my childhood searching hedges and brambles in the park for a sign that this is where the little mice lived, I've not managed to find them yet but when my mum finally agreed to let me have a pet of my own, I chose a little mouse who I then named Wilfred <3

If you could see inside my head it would look like this...
These are some pages from a sketchbook I have started recently, nothing to do with my uni work, just somewhere I can doodle, scribble and stick all the pretty things in one place.
This is where the faries live, they all have their own little castles and magical gardens where trees produce gems, pearls, and flowers to go into their magical potions <3
Sometimes I just like to scribble, Since coming to uni my drawing style has changed dramatically I seem to have become a fan of messy art that doesn't really make any sense, it somehow draws me in.
Pretty much on my sleeve... I never have been one for keeping my feelings hidden.
If I'm happy I laugh like a loon, if I'm sad/angry/upset or even overly happy I cry, I think my tear ducts overproduce.......

Have I told you latley that I love you
What do most people do after a night out? I don't know - in Storthes hall we always used to go back home and carry on the party. In fact most of the time we didn't even go out, we were having that much fun just hanging out.
What do I do now? Well me and the Mr went out for the first time in a long time last week as we both had the week off work. We had a great time, getting dressed up, playing silly drinking games before going out, actually we were having such a good time together we didn't even go out until gone eleven. Then went round a few bars. We didn't end up in a club but back home dancing to Van Morrison. hehe not your usual 20 year old passtime but I loved it, and I love that he will do things like that with me <3

Some Place Beautiful
The following images were taken by Irene Suchocki. She is the most inspirational, wonderful photogropher I have ever come across.
She truly knows how to capture real beauty <3

Someone's watching over me
Isn't it funny how things work out?
I went into work to ask for a holiday in August to find out that the woman on maternity I have been covering is coming back in june so I won't even have my job then...
I have saved up a fair amount but was thinking if I don't manage to get work over summer things will be very tight, especially as over the last month I have been living very extravagantly!
I wasn't to worried, I can manage on very little money if I have to, I'm good like that, its just nice to know it's there if I need it - Especially with final year of uni coming up I was hoping to have a nice amount put by for fabrics, and gallery trips etc
Anyway the day after I find out I am going to lose my job soon £790 mysteriously appears in my account. Amazing or what! Apparently it's the final installment of my student loan - as im doing placement this year its been really different and I was sure I didnt have more to come, turns out I did.
Who knows where summer will take me but I am a firm believer of the quote,
"everything happens for a reason"
Feels like someone's watching over me <3

Super Dooper Love
My Mr is amazing <3
Yesterday we were going to go out for drinks as we both have the week off work but I had a bit of a freak out... OMG I don't have hair anymore - Long curls was my going out thing, short curls just wont be the same. I didn't want to try any of my old going out stuff on I just don't think I could pull it off without the trademark curls, stupid I know but hey he gets me.
So last night didn't happen but today he took me out for a new going out dress for tonight, its gorgeous and still looks ok if I have my hair up - problem solved <3

Dancing in my gypsy shoes...
I had the best day yesterday <3
My mr took me out to celebrate two and a half years together, this will be my longest relationship soon!! Definatly my best :)
We decided on Manchester, as he knows it well que shopping and fancy meals
We went round many shops I love the huge River Island and Zara, I think I might have been in heaven I actually had money to spend! Even though my birthday is two months away John decided to get my presents early so I have a gorgeous bag and some new shoes to look forward to recieving!
I also treated myself to some hair streightners, I recently decided to have ALL MY HAIR CUT OFF :O since then it has been frizz central so they were needed, and thankfully solve the problem! I don't know what finally made me do it but I had 5 inches off and a few layers put in, I was having an impulsive day......
Anyway also bought a new dress I love dresses sooooooo much and can't seem to stop buying them, this is nice and summery and quite bizarrly reminds me of a vintage swimsuit!
We then went for lunch in cafe rouge, It's so amazing there <3 I had chargrilled chicken sandwich with chips and salad then an amazing crepe with banana, chocolate sauce and of course ice cream mmmmmmmm!!!
My other buys were flower clips (shorter hair means I can put it up without it all falling down again) and more shoes! I bought some material shoes from new look years ago and wore them none stop. They are now litrally falling to pieces and have holes everywhere - my brother always refers to them as my gypsy shoes.
Since my glass in foot incident (a couple of weeks back) I havn't dared wear them for fear of infection, my mum actually begged me to throw them away... they are kinda dirty from wear/beach/sea they never really recovered from the beach trip so yes new shoes were called for - yes pure material - yes they have beads etc - yes my brother will call them gypsy shoes - yes I totally love them - and yes I will wear them until they fall to pieces....
