*Listening to music
*Wishing
*Worrying (as always)
*Avoiding Work
*Wanting a holiday (Saturday! Not long to wait!)
*Now thinking about what to pack...
*Wanting to snuggle up with John, and a cup of peppermint tea
*My arm is hurting
*I think it is raining
*I am going to stop blogging and do some work. It is 9.47, yesterday I didn't make myself work until 11 so I am improving.
*I am also quite liking the way my visual diary is turning out :)

Once in a while
I have had a big case of writers block recently.
I have wanted to blog but have had no clue what to write!
So I decided to go back to my "Ooooh" Post list, which I have been following vaguely.
Quite by coincidence the next post on my list is a fictional book, it just so happens I am reading one at the moment that I cannot but down! It it truly fantastic.
They say never judge a book by it's cover, well I must admit I do have a fatal attraction to pretty packaging. That is why initially this book did not draw my attention. I just thought it would be another chick lit novel like so many out there which all follow the same pattern.
However after reading a review of this book in a magazine it caught my attention a little more. Far from fluffy and lighthearted I found out the story was about two girls accused of seducing, torturing and murdering their former teacher. One of the girls had been convicted and one had been set free.
After her release Poppy is determined to prove her innocence, I have a quarter of the book left to read and have no clue how it will end, the whole book flicks from past to present, from Poppy to Serena and gradually you find out more and more but I am still waiting for that vital piece of information that will make the story fit so I can find out what really happened!
I only started this book three days ago and it has been glued to me ever since! Cleverly crafted, this book is a must read for anyone after a gripping psychological thriller that will have you page turning like there is no tomorrow!

Enchantment
I want to live in a whimsical world where you can talk to birds, listen hard to hear the trees whisper.
I wish there were cherry blossoms all year round.
I want to live in a little cottage in the hills by a waterfall,
or in a place by the ocean so I could fall asleep listening to the waves.
I secretly hope that I will turn into a mermaid everytime I swim in the sea.
I wish rings, bracelets, beads and bangles grew like flowers.
I wish the sky permeantly had a pink sunset tint lighting the world with a dreamlike glow.
I hope to meet a fairy one day, and see where they live.
I wish everywhere was lit with lanterns and fairy lights.
I wish there was a subtle smell of lavender where ever we go.
I wish there were more shooting stars and meteor showers, and that constellations shone bright in the sky.
I wish mice really did wear little clothes and outfits like in Cinderella and the Tailor of glouster.
I wish librarys were all like the one in beauty and the beast.
I wish crystals hung from trees casting rainbows everywhere.

Pieces of me
This post is suppost to be a picture of me taken over 10years ago. Unfortunatly my mum has all of those! I do have a few since college years though and I have changed so much I could hardly believe my eyes when I first stummbled across these!
This was taken by a girl I worked on a project with in college, we were trying to get pictures for a magazine we had to create. I hated doing this. I always used to be quite camera shy, I still don't like having pictures of just me!
This photo shocked me the most. I am so thin here, I was always incredibly skinny but believe it or not didn't reilise it. I always felt fat even here, whenever me and my brother argued the first thing he would tell me was how fat I looked. After hearing this at least twice a day I started to believe it. Looking back at this I really can't believe I thought that!
Since uni I have put on over a stone, it has all gone to my hips and stomach, I don't see me losing this anytime soon as I hate exercise and would never ever go to a gym. Despite this I do feel happier with who I am then back in college. Some of the insecurity has faded and it shows, I am now with someone who makes me feel comfortable with how I am which also helps.
I know I will never be completly happy with the way I am but who is?? I hate my hair, it somehow manages to be thin, frizzy, gets greasy quickly, and is utterly impossible to style! I have to wash it everyday and it drives me insane! Anyway here is a rare look, of me as I am now. There are very few pictures of just me so I didn't have many to choose from!

What a girl wants
I am really not too good at photography so I thought I could combine the posts, a photo that makes me happy, a photo that makes me sad, and photo that I took here.
These are images of my second year project work. I completly loved this sketchbook. My tutour did not.
I loved creating this sketchbook, for the first time since starting uni I completly let myself go with this project and really started to enjoy myself, I was really proud of how far I had come from first year so for that reason the images make me happy.
However my technical file really let me down. I wasn't aware that I had to include details of my samples as well as of the workshops. This meant my mark for the project was a lot less then what I had hoped.
I hope I can become this inspired with the project I have on the go now, so far I am not enjoying it. I haven't really got into it yet but am hopefully on my way!
Yesterday I bought a new sketchbook, (ring binded this time so it really can't fall apart) sorted through all my photos from France, Barcelona and various gallery visits I am really excited to see these developed today!
I have been collecting other images for my visual diary this morning, I have come across some really inspirational things. I also spent hours last night sorting out my incredibly unorganised work room, which although still messy is now organised mess! Hopefully I will start getting somewhere soon!

Gone in the morning
So todays post on the list is - Whatever tickles your fancy.
Well first off I don't know when or if ever he will read this but I want to apologize to John. I have been the most terrible girlfriend for the past couple of weeks. My workload has definatly been taking it's toll, and my stress levels (not stable at the best of times) have sky rocketed. Despite this he has, as always remained consistently amazing <3
I have a huge project to get together by the time I go back to Uni, the more work you can do the better. Well I started my sketchbook a few weeks ago and it literally fell apart. Not the best start. Since then I have been to disheartened to continue, and to be honest I haven't had the time anyway.
In the past 2weeks I have only had two days off which were spaced far apart. I do like the job, and I do like working where I'm working but even if it is just a 4hour shift I have 4hours travel on top of that. Work, Travel, Project work is all getting a bit over my head.
Oh yeah - and I've lost the brief for the project....
I know how fortunate I am to have a job, especially one I like. I do have a habit of working things up in my head and making little things a big deal which really aren't then I feel kinda like I need to explode.
Anyway it's back to work tomorrow so I am going fill my head with pretty things and inspiration and make the most of today <3

"You need to be the change you wish to see in the world"
"Watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikley places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it"
It has become a tradition that every card I receive from my Mr has a quote. Because these mean so much to me I would have to say they are my favorites. I once asked him to put them all together and send them to me.
In his message he said "I started collecting these quotes as soon as I reilised I was in love with you, probably before as well. The reason I started collecting was because every one of them made me think of you when I read it, every time it makes me smile" <3
"To the world you might be one person, but to one person you might be the world"
"It doesn't matter how far apart we are it matters how close"
"See there's this place in me where your fingerprints still rest, your kisses still linger and your whispers softly echo. It's the place where a part of you will forever be a part of me"
And completely true in our case "Love is the two of us being stupid together" <3

A piece of cake
I am being a bit naughty and skipping the T.V show post as books are something I have a real passion about, and are much more fulfilling! <3
Books make me incredibly nostalgic, and I get very attached.
I have never been someone who could give a book away, or even sell them, especially if I have loved the story.
I learned to read very young and have been a bookworm ever since. What with having more time this year, and working in a bookshop my collection has grown fast and tremendously, the image above is of all the books I have collected since august, I really should invest in a bookcase, although I'm sure my ever expanding collection would soon outgrow it...
It is very hard to choose just one book out of the thousands I have read but at different stages in my life there have been books that have stood out.
In my early stages of primary school I discovered the dinosaurs packed lunch. This is where my absolute devotion to Jacqueline Wilson began. I went on to read other books by her, The Suitcase Kid, one I must have read 20 times over was without a doubt my favourite book growing up.
Knowing of my love for Jacqueline's writing and the fascination I had in school with the Victorian era my Mum hid copy of Hetty Feather in my Christmas stocking this year, which I can honestly say turned out to be my best present. It is a must read for fans, and personally one my favourites by her which is quite an achievement!
At the age of eleven or twelve I started to read teenage books, again Jacqueline Wilson amazed me with the likes of The Illustrated Mum, Vicky Angel, and the Girls series. My favourite teen book of all time however is Celia by Catherine Robinson (my favourite chapter in particular was where she was on the run and lived with gypsy's for six months, which will come as no surprise to those who know me!) I loved all of her books, which as far as I am aware are now out of print. However they will always have pride of place on my bookshelf back home <3
I was probably 18 or 19 before I moved on to adult books, A good teenage book was so much easier to find and I could relate to the topics such as first love and it's problems, trouble with school, and relationships between daughter and parents a lot better back then then I could with marriage, and newly divorced singletons etc I still find myself longing for a good teen book every now and again.
I gave in to my craving quite recently and discovered the Noughts and Crosses series by Malorie Blackman, which I really could not put down.
However after a recommend in college I picked up A Piece of Cake by Cupcake Brown. It still remains my favourite adult book to this day. I just found it fascinating from cover to cover.
Life stories are not usually my thing, in fact this is the only one I have read. I find that I am easily disturbed by the subject matter of many of them so tend to stay away. It doesn't always make for easy reading, and I often found myself amazed that this book was all a true story. Despite all this the book is brilliant and so inspiring <3
If anyone has any recommendations for me that would be great,I am always looking for something new to read! What is your favourite book?

I'm Yours
I apologise to anyone who remembers a similar post I did a while back raving about this movie but really it is so fantastic you must watch it <3
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
I won't go on about it anymore then I already have in the past! But a list of my all time favorites would include:
*Eternal Sunshine
*Romeo and Juliet
*The Beach
*The Little Mermaid
There are so many! Also the Virgin suicides, I have watched that movie over and over and still don't understand it, I just love how it is shot, love the old vintage feel, love Kirsten Dunst <3
A hopeless romantic and constant dreamer means I am also unable to resist a good love story. The Titanic and Nicholas Sparks adaptiones remain some of my favourites, Dear John and the Notebook are irrisistable.
And unpredicably UP always almost brings me to tears! It is so so sad! but I love it, my favourite Pixar film by a million miles <3

Hey There Delilah
How completely impossible does it seem to choose just one song?
There are so so so so many but one sprung to mind almost instantly.
Plain white T's - Hey there Delilah
It wasn't until my Mr told me to listen to the lyrics that I could fully appreciate this song, but as soon as I did I realised how beautiful it is <3
What is everyone else's favorite song and why? I think this is mine because it reminds me of how lucky I am to have experienced what this guy is singing about (cheese I know but it's the truth!)
I also love Simple kinda life by No Doubt and so many others <3
Also sorry for the long gaps between posts tomorrow is my first day off in seven days! But I am hoping I will be making a start on some more uni work so it should be a good day!

Hold your colour
This is it. Day 2 of my next university project.
I started my final year sketchbook and the pages have already somehow unglued themselves from the spine and started to fall out! I can't believe it and don't really know what to do about it... should I leave it? Try and glue them back in (risking gluing my drawings together) or should I buy a new book altogether and glue these pictures into it??? What does anyone think??
On the bright side I am fairly happy with the first few pages, I was going to add a hint of colour but couldn't bring myself to do it! Knowing me if I did it would ruin it so I think I will leave it, I just love pencil and ink drawings anyway, I am hoping my tutours next year will approve.
The embroidery teacher I used to have has left, and it took me 2years to figure out what it was she was trying to get from me so I don't really know what to expect from the new one.
I have decided to do a detailed drawing the right page of my book and a quick sketch on the left with a quicker interpretation, I love doing quick doodles and find they relate well to various stitch work.
At least I feel in a place where I know what I am doing this year. I am a lot more confident about my work so I hope it all works out. Fingers crossed I have made the right choice with this project.

Bloom
Life is hectic! Busy bust busy, and having a long commute to work is not fun! Right now my Mr works 8.30 - 5.00 weekdays I work 5.00 - 9.00 weekdays and during the day on weekends.... opposite schedules or what! But the moments spent together are always amazing and I am hoping my next paycheck will make this all worthwhile!
I will be catching up on everyones blogs soon! Also I have finally decided on my theme for my first final year project. After changing my mind a 1000 times I have decided on 'The secret garden' so tommorow I will be off to the library on a hunt for bloom magazines, much photocopying will follow :)
I do wonder if I am making the right choice, especially as I am going to work in silver and black... I might hint at colour but have been told not to work with it in the past soooooooooo hmm could be interesting I like work like this I found though

I might hint at colour but have been told not to work with it in the past soooooooooo hmm could be interesting I like work like this I found though
wish me luck
